DC doesn’t need more taxes

The last thing the District needs is a new tax that makes it more expensive to live here. Those of us working paycheck to paycheck can’t afford more taxes. Taxing some juices, teas, sodas and sports drinks would lead to higher grocery bills that many of us can’t afford. The District has a lot of extra money to fund programs, so why are we talking about raising taxes and making it harder on working people?
